Group work is an effective and expedient way to work on self, communication and interpersonal issues while also receiving support and guidance from others.
DBT group focuses on learning to modulate extreme emotionality, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and to trust and validate our own emotions, and thoughts. Through DBT, you will learn (1) Mindfulness skills, (2) Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills, (3) Emotion Regulation Skills, (4) Distress Tolerance Skills. The goal of skills training is to learn new ways of thinking and acting on our emotions so that we can grow, and live rich, meaningful and happy lives.
